Obama's Email To Federal Agencies: Make Sequester Cuts As Painful As We Promised It Would Be
This year the real cuts in spending, brought on by sequestration, will actually be $44 billion in the ”increase” in this year’s $3.8 trillion budget; it will, I repeat, be $44 billion only in the “increase” in spending; it is not in an actual decrease in last year’s spending. The reason it will be $44 billion and not $85 billion is because it will kick in late in the fiscal year—$44 billion equates to ½ of what the federal government actually borrows every 28 days from lenders like China to cover the out of control spending.
In fact “half (50%)“of the $44 billion is being taken out of the DOD Budget, even though the Defense Department is only 20% of the annual federal budget, not 50% of the federal budget; that assault on the US Armed Forces was directed by Obama when he created sequestration. It is truly unconscionable to divide the cuts that way when our US Military is involved in combat in Afghanistan. Obama’s unfair division in cuts for the US military is resulting in cuts in required training, operational for the US armed Forces, restrictions in deployments, restriction in ships operating at sea and repairs of ships, in the GI Bill benefits, military family medical benefits, retention of trained personnel, and has resulted in firing all teachers of on base schools for the military children.
The other half of the $44 billion, or $22 billion, is being cut from the 7% “increase” in spending for all the other government agencies; that $22 billion will be spread thru the remaining of 80% of the $3.8 trillion non-defense budget. The $22 billion cuts from all other government agencies is less than 1% of the 7% “increase” in spending; once again we want to emphasize, that $22 billion is not a cut in last year’s budget, it is just a cut in the 7% increase in this year’s spending. That very small cut in the increase in spending for all other government agencies, has thrown the Obama Administration into panic, and resulted in the E-mail Obama sent to all government agencies that is exposed in the below listed article. The reason the Obama Administration is in panic is because, in order to save the Republic from bankruptcy, the Congress now fully understands it must substantially cut a percentage of “last year’s actual spending”, not cut a percentage of the “increase” in spending, in order to prevent the Republic from going bankrupt.
Obama’s Email To Federal Agencies: Make Sequester Cuts As Painful As We Promised
BY RAT ON MARCH 6, 2013 • ( 1 )
Setting aside the fact that an E-mail like this from George Bush would have caused mass hysteria among Democrats and led to immediate calls for impeachment, try to wrap your head around this:
The President of the United States is now “on record” for having instructed government agencies to not only refrain from minimizing the effects of the sequester – but to make budget cuts “as painful as possible”. Ironically, he instructs the feds to do so because of the dire consequences he – wait for it – “promised”.
Like Obama’s promise to “reach across the aisle” and work with Republicans? Or, maybe like Obama’s promise to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term? Like Obama’s promise Hispanics when he told them in 2008 that immigration reform would be “a first priority” of his administration. (Of course, Obama made up for that last unkempt promise by circumventing Congress and the U.S. Constitution by writing his own “Dream Act” and using Executive Orders to give thousands of Illegal Immigrants freedom from deportation– not to mention the Regime’s ongoing release of two thousands of illegal aliens criminals who have broken laws of the United States.)
The arrogance displayed by Obama in believing that it’s perfectly acceptable for him to put in writing a “suggestion” to government agencies, urging them to “maximize the impact of the sequester” – for hispolitical gain – is astounding. Even by Obama’s “standards.” From Breitbart.com:
An internal government E-mail sent Monday instructed an official with a subdivision of the U.S. Department of Agriculture to make sure that sequester-related cuts “inflict as much pain as possible” to make sure “you are not contradicting what we said the impact would be.”
When Charles Brown of the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service asked “if there was any latitude” in how officials might allocate sequester cuts to reduce negatively impacting fish inspections, Brown received the following reply:
“We have gone on record with a notification to Congress and whoever else that ‘APHIS would eliminate assistance to producers in 24 states in managing wildlife damage to the aquaculture industry, unless they provide funding to cover the costs.’ So it is our opinion that however you manage that reduction, you need to make sure you are not contradicting what we said the impact would be.”
Lawmakers say the E-mail is further evidence that the Obama Administration is seeking to inflict maximum pain for the minimal of the $44 billion of the $85 billion in cuts.
“This E-mail confirms what many Americans have suspected: The Obama Administration is doing everything they can to make sure their worst predictions come true and to maximize the pain of the Sequester cuts for political gain,” said Combat Veteran For Congress, Represenatative Tim Griffin, Maj (R-AK).
Is it unreasonable to assume that our country’s Chief Executive – who swore an oath which in part, says: I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States,” would put the well-being of America and its citizens ahead of ideology and partisan politics?
The really sick part is, in Obama’s, Socialist ideology way of thinking, he does believe that his desire to destroy the Republican Party – even if he must bring America to its knees in the process – is “faithful execution” of his office. After all – how else can he continue his incessant march toward “social justice” and a Socialist State?
On a hilarious note – which borders on bizarre – the Regime announced yesterday that it is canceling tours of the White House for the foreseeable future due to sequester spending cuts. This, of course, is nothing more than a temper tantrum – thrown by a immature individual who didn’t get his way; White House tours by the public are generally self-guided, with volunteers available for assistance and questions; the cost is estimated to be $17,000/week and donations to continue the tours for school children from the public have already exceeded $91,000 to continue the tours of the “people’s” house. Is this how Obama makes it “painful” for school children?
