We continue in our sworn oath on to protect and defend the US Constitution from all enemies foreign and “Domestic.”  This is the fifth article in a series of articles, in opposition to Obama and his Socialist allies in Congress’ full frontal assault on the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution. 

Criminals employed by Mexican Drug Cartels and Human Traffickers are coming across the Southern Border daily, armed with military issue Fully Automatic Assault Weapons threatening, kidnaping, and killing law abiding American citizens; it is a war zone.   DHS and the Obama Administration are not adequately protecting American citizens living along the southern border.  Unfortunately, the Obama Administration has taken legal action against the State of Arizona, because in the absence of DHS’s enforcement of Federal Immigration Laws, Arizona jumped into the breach to enforce those federal immigration laws, in order to protect their citizens.  Since DHS is not protecting Arizona’s American citizens, and has taken legal action to prevent the State of Arizona from doing so, law abiding citizens have been arming themselves “to protect life liberty and pursuit of happiness”.  Unfortunately, the Obama Administration has embarked on a number of initiatives to also restrict law abiding American citizens, in addition to the State of Arizona, from protecting themselves from heavily armed members of Mexican Drug Cartels who are trampling on the freedoms given to American citizens by the Bill of Rights.  Obama has embarked on his initiatives to restrict the gun rights of American citizens by issuing of 23 Presidential Executive Orders to restrict gun rights and is initiating legislation to further marginalize the 2nd Amendment.   The Obama Administration has further endangered American citizens living along the porous southern border by not erecting the border fence that was authorized by Congress 4 years ago (is working well in the San Diego Sector built during President Bush’s term), and DHS has not been ordered to adequately patrol very large stretches of wide open borders that you will see in the below listed video.  The Obama Administration’s initiatives are making it very difficult for law abiding citizens to acquire semi–automatic rifles (the definition for a semi-automatic rifle is a rifle that fires one shot when the trigger is pulled) to oppose the heavily armed members of Mexican Drug Cartels coming across the southern border with their Fully Automatic Assault Weapons.  If the Obama Administration is allowed by Congress to continues to marginalize the 2nd Amendment, law abiding American ranchers and citizens along the southern border will not be able to acquire the type of weapons they need to adequately protect their property, their animals (horses and cattle), and their families from Mexican Drug Smugglers, who are armed to the teeth with Fully Automatic Assault Weapons, and are coming across the border at will, both day and night.  Please view the video and listen to the comments by American Sheriff’s trying to protect their citizens living close to the border, by clicking on the below listed link;

MR. PRESIDENT: WE NEED LEADERS; NOT BABYSITTERS!

Dear Mr. President:

          With all due respect, Sir, I am not Barney Fife and do not need an authority figure issuing me one bullet to be carried in my shirt pocket except for an emergency to protect me from myself.  I do not need my government telling me what guns I should own and what size magazines they should hold. Shortly after you started first grade in Indonesia, I was using very expensive, sophisticated, REAL, automatic assault weapons with many large magazines and assorted other weapons and was teaching barely literate indigenous Montagnard warriors in South Vietnam how to use them effectively and handle them safely around family and community, too.

Your Vice President, your next in command, knows so little about weapons, Mr. President he publicly stated that shotguns are more accurate than rifles. That is as intelligent as stating that you should use a Caterpillar D9 bulldozer to plant roses in your garden.

Let’s get real, Mr. President. Every citizen in Switzerland is required to own a gun, and Switzerland has the lowest rate of gun-related crimes in the world. In fact, crimes committed with firearms in Switzerland is actually non-existent. That alone and a small modicum of common sense completely shoots down your theory that you need to enact even more gun laws in the United States than we already have. England totally outlawed guns in their country and leads the world in gun-related crimes. In fact, your town, Chicago, has the strictest gun laws in the country and the highest rate of felonious crimes committed with firearms in America.

          So, in short, your whole argument about gun control is not at all about guns, but actually about control. I pay my taxes, contribute in my community, served my nation in the military, and have always obeyed the law. I am a free American. I am not going to be controlled, except by my God-inspired morality and the laws of common decency.  No more than that should be required of me.  I have been a giver; Not a taker.

          You have had cohorts in Congress proclaim, “Nobody needs an assault weapon to shoot a duck.”

          No, we do not.  We need what you call assault weapons to protect us from meddling bureaucrats and tyrants trying to strip away our freedoms. We need such weapons to protect us from home invasion. On January 9, 2013, a Loganville, Georgia woman shot an intruder, 32 year old Paul Slater of Atlanta, five times with a revolver and ran out of bullets. Her bullets hit him in the face, neck, arm, liver, and lung, yet he still lived and was later arrested after crashing his car. What if he had two accomplices with him and she only had that six shot pistol with her two children to protect? She emptied her weapon into him at point blank range, and he ran off and drove his car away from the scene. Most break-ins occur with multiple perpetrators.

          The Japanese ruled out trying to attack America on its shores in World War II for one reason:  Too many Americans owned rifles and pistols. The military leadership in Japan decided invading America would be impossible because our citizenry was so well-armed. The only way America could ever be invaded successfully is if some naive politicians disarmed us or tied our hands with over-regulation.

          Again, Mr, President with all due respect. You and the congress work for me. I don’t work for you. I am your employer. You are our head manager, an executive, not a lawmaker. You do not have the right, power, or support to rewrite the US Constitution, especially the Second Amendment. You were a Constitutional law professor and should already know that.

          Criminals and psychos do not register their guns, and guns do not cause mass shootings: Sociopaths do. Guns, in the cars, purses, and in the pockets of law-abiding citizens also quickly stop mass shootings.

          Most Americans handle guns very well. It is choosing our leaders we have to work on.
