We continue in our sworn oath to protect and defend the US Constitution from all enemies foreign and “Domestic.”  This is the third article in a series articles, in opposition to Obama and his Socialist allies in Congress’ full frontal assault on the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution---this is a freedom issue.  The City of Chicago, with strictest gun control laws of any other city in the nation, should be the safest city in the nation, but instead it has highest crime rate and murder rate of any other city in the nation (hand gun ban in Chicago is being violated by criminals; the anti-gun crusade is not in the interest of law abiding citizens). Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s Chicago reported that in 2012, 506 Americans were murdered by guns (more gun deaths occurred in Chicago than suffered by the US military in Afghanistan in 2012).  The perpetrators of gun deaths in Chicago seem to have gotten away with it, because criminals and gang members who did not register their guns and were mainly responsible for the killings, only served a total of 96 days in Chicago jails in 2012—there has been a lack of will, year after year, to enforce the existing gun laws in Chicago.  The Chicago Police Department recently announced that it will no longer respond to a burglary unless the suspect is present, due to the lack of manpower and rising crime.  Now that Chicago’s strictest gun control laws in the nation has DISARMED its citizens, they are now telling the DISARMED citizens that they are supposed to fend for themselves.  Gun bans, creating gun free zones, do not protect innocent citizens from criminals and insane shooters who go armed to those gun free zones, in order to perpetrate crimes and the mass killings of unarmed innocent people, because they know there are no law abiding armed citizens to oppose their murderous intent.  Creating gun free zones, by clueless government officials, just prevents law abiding citizens from protecting themselves.  There are already 9000 gun laws on the books, failure to enforce those existing gun laws, not passing the new complex gun laws being proposed by Obama, is the real reason people are being murdered by criminal, gangs, and deranged gunmen.  To quote Obama’s former Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, “Never let a serious crisis go to waste”; and the massacre of those 20 innocent children by a mentally deranged gunman created the “serious crisis” Obama and his staff, who had already been working on disarming the American people for the previous 2 years, were looking for.  Obama has not let Newtown go to waste—he has mounted the most aggressive campaign against the 2nd Amendment that anyone has ever attempted in the 237 year history of the Republic. 

 Our Founding Fathers did not create a Democracy; they founded a Constitutional Republic-------a Constitutional Republic protects the rights of “every” individual, even when their ideas may be in the minority. The majority in a Constitutional Republic cannot take away the rights given to every American citizen by the US Constitution, no matter what their “elected servants in Congress and the Oval Office” say or do.  Without the Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms in our Constitutional Republic, all other Amendments to the Constitution become null and void, simply because We the People would lose our power of enforcement that the Founding Fathers made sure we had; especially if a would be tyrannical leader, occupying the Oval Office, repeatedly violated the US Constitution. We need to keep these truths in mind as Obama’s Socialists and Leftist allies in Congress aggressively push to abridge the “Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms”.  We would not care if 99% of people were in support of banning the Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms (which is very far from the case), their support for a ban would be a straight forward violation of our US Constitutional rights. The Republican led Congress did not oppose it; it is about time that they must finally do the job they were elected to do, and protect and defend the US Constitution.  Although they have controlled the purse strings of the government for the last 2 years, the Republican Congress has failed to rein in the out of control spending by an irresponsible Obama Administration.  The Republican leadership did not oppose, but even “voted for” the dastardly sequestering plan that Obama created and foisted on the American people which will seriously weakening the US Armed Forces.  Repeated conciliation by the current leadership of the Republican Party has not worked for over 4 years, and will not work in the future, because Obama, the left of center liberal media establishment, and the Democrats in Congress continue to misrepresent the Republican’s attempt to be conciliatory; however, staying true to and reaffirming the conservative principals upon which President Reagan governed will work.  We wonder when or if the Republican leadership will ever get it—repeating the same thing over and over again that does not work is another definition for insanity.

    Obama has repeatedly made it clear by his actions over the past 4 years that he will continue to disregard laws passed by Congress, and will continue to violate the US Constitution at will.  He signed HR 347 into law which violates the 1st Amendment and makes free speech “a federal crime” in certain areas (to be determined by the Secret Service, without advance notice, and that free speech is subject to change arbitrarily at any time). In January 2013, a unanimous Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit held that the President violated the Constitution by making “recess appointments” when the US Senate was, in fact, still in session.  In 2012 Obama refused to enforce the federal law passed by Congress, the Defense of Marriage Act, one of the laws passed by Congress that he swore to uphold on the bible when he was sworn in. Obama unilaterally exempted 800,000 illegal immigrates from federal law without consulting Congress and the ICE Federal Law Enforcement Officer have been prevented from enforcing federal laws on rounding up the 20+ million Illegal aliens in the nation---and he has done so much more to violate Constitutional law on Religious Freedom. The American voters are waiting for the Republican leadership to take “any action” to halt the assault on the US Constitution, and on the “Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms”? Unless Congress finally does the job they were elected to do, in 22 months the America voters will hold them accountable at the ballot box for their continued inept failure to oppose Obama’s assault on the US Constitution. It is about time for the House of Representatives to file multiple law suits in US Federal court “to finally stop the resident of the Oval Office from repeatedly violating the US Constitution.
