The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is endorsing the 136th endorsed Combat Veteran For Congress in the last 11 years, Rear Admiral Ronny L. Jackson, USN (Ret) (MC).  RAdm Jackson is a fiscally conservative Congressman who will work to reduce the national debt, and will focus on reining in the out of control spending by irresponsible members of Congress.  RAdm Jackson will support the Trump Administrations initiatives to unleash the private sector to increase economic growth, create new jobs, and stimulate private sector business investment.  RAdm Jackson resides in Amarillo, Texas and is a 28-year veteran of the US Navy having served in the US Navy Medial Corps.  RAdm Jackson is seeking the Republican nomination to run for an open seat in the 13th Congressional District of Texas, which was vacated by thirteen term Congressman Mac Thornberry who is retiring.

RAdm Jackson will oppose the far-left members of Pelosi’s Radical Progressive Caucus who support and promote Socialist and Marxist initiatives, they are opposed to the principles established in the US Constitution by the Founding Fathers.  Pelosi and her far-left Radical Caucus backed the Fast Track Trans-Pacific Trade Bill (TPP), which ceded US sovereignty to an international tribunal, they supported sequestration that hollowed out the US Armed Forces, they support the Socialist Common Core agenda which eliminated the accurate US History once taught in public schools, supports the Democrats “Open Border” policy to allow millions of Illegal Aliens to simply walk across a wide-open border, and support Sanctuary Cities.

RAdm Jackson will oppose Pelosi’s radical Democrats in Congress voted against cutting taxes, against a balanced budget, against closing the wide-open southern border, against support for Israel, and against the National Defense Act.  Additionally, Pelosi’s allies in Congress voted for the impeachment of President Trump, for late term abortions, for the Paris Climate Accord, restoring net neutrality, a job killing carbon tax, federal funding for abortions, voted to restrict gun rights granted by the 2nd Amendment, voted to give 1.2 million Illegal Aliens amnesty (regardless if they were criminal convicts), voted for HR 5-the Equality Act (that eliminates civil rights protections for women), eliminates the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, and allows males who became transgender females to unfairly compete against women in sports competition.

RAdm Jackson will oppose Pelosi’s far left Progressive/Socialist Caucus in the House of Representatives that includes Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Rep Ayanna Pressley (D-MA).  They support the sweeping “New Green Deal”; a Radical Marxist program proposed by Rep Ocasio-Cortez, at a cost of $93 trillion, or approximately $600,000 per household, according to a study co-authored by the former director of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.  Pelosi and the 4 above listed congresswomen also proposed the elimination of all private and business health insurance, to be replaced by a government controlled Universal Health Care program, which according to the nonpartisan Mercatus Center at George Washington University, would cost of $36 trillion, or approximately $232,258 per household.

Ronny Jackson was born and raised in a hardworking blue-collar family that exemplifies service to the Republic.  His uncle, Corporal Wayne Jackson, USA, served in combat with the 26th Signal Corps in the European Theatre during WWII.  His father Sargent Waymon Jackson, USANG served from 1963 to 1967.  Ronny Jackson was born in the small town of Levelland, Texas, on May 4, 1967, and he grew up in Levelland, one of three children.  His brother Gary and his sister Stacy still live and work in Levelland.  Ronny worked full-time since the age of 14, employed at the local grocery store, and attended Levelland High School, graduating in June 1986.  Later he worked as a roustabout in the oil field, he paid for his entire undergraduate education while still serving his local community as a volunteer firefighter.

After beginning his education at a local junior college, he went on to attend Texas A& M University in College Station, Texas and graduated in April 1991 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Biology and he was commissioned as an Ensign in the US Naval Reserve as a Medical Student.  He went on to attend medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas;  during his time in medical school, he served as a Naval Reservist.  He received his Doctor of Medicine Degree in May 1995, and Ensign Jackson was recommissioned as a Lieutenant on Active Duty; he was immediately assigned to the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia.  He completed his internship in transitional medicine in 1996.

Lt Jackson went on to become the honor graduate of the Navy's Undersea Medical Officer Program in Groton, Connecticut.   He qualified in submarine and hyperbaric medicine, and subsequently took on operational assignments including instructor at the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center in Panama City, Florida, where he qualified as a Diving Medical Officer, and received the Dive Pin.  During this period he was assigned to Temporary Additional Duty in Hawaii with SEAL Delivery Team ONE and Submarine Squadron ONE.  He was awarded the Submarine Officer Warfare Qualification and received his Submarine Service Dolphins; he also earned the Navy/Marine Corps Jump Wings during that period. 

In January 1999, Lt Jackson was assigned as the Diving Safety Officer at the Naval Safety Center in Norfolk, VA.  In September 1999,  he was transferred to and assigned as the Detachment Officer in Charge and Diving Medical Officer of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit EIGHT (EODMU8) at Sigonella in Sicily, Italy.  While assigned to EODMU8 in Sigonella, Lt Jackson made several trips to Kosovo in support of Operation Provide Promise and was awarded the Navy Expeditionary Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Kosovo Campaign Medal, and the NATO Medal.

In January 2001, Lt Jackson returned to Portsmouth Naval Medical Center to begin his residency in emergency medicine.  In July 2001, Lt Jackson was promoted to Lieutenant Commander.  He finished his training at the top of his class receiving the Honor Graduate Designation.  Upon completion of his residency in 2004, Lcdr Jackson was assigned as a member of the clinical faculty in the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia.

In January 2005, Lcdr Jackson was assigned to the 2nd Marine Logistics Group, Combat Logistics Regiment 25, at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.  In August 2005, Lcdr Jackson deployed with 2nd Marine Logistic Group, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as the emergency medicine physician in charge of resuscitative medicine for a forward deployed Surgical Shock Trauma Platoon in Taqaddum, Iraq.  Lcdr Jackson was deployed in the violently contested Al Anbar Province in Taqaddum, Iraq, right outside of the city of Ramadi.  The deployed Surgical Shock Trauma Platoon received routine small arms and rocket attacks on their base of operations throughout the 9-month deployment.

While still in Iraq in 2006, Lcdr Jackson was selected as a physician to be assigned in the White House Medical Unit for President George W. Bush.  For duty during combat operations, Lcdr Jackson received the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, Navy and Marine Corps Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon, the Iraqi Campaign Medal (with Fleet Marine Force Combat Operation Insignia), and the Fleet Marine Force Insignia (FMF Pin).  Lcdr Jackson returned to CONUS in May 2006.

In June 2006, Lcdr Jackson reported to The White House and directed the Executive Health Care for the President's Cabinet and his senior staff, he also served as physician supervisor for the Camp David Presidential Retreat.  In July 2007, Lcdr Jackson was promoted to Commander.  In January 2008, Cdr Jackson was retained by President Barack Obama to continue to serve in The White House Medical Unit.  In 2010, Cdr Jackson was early promoted to Captain, and was appointed as the physician for President Obama; in 2015 Capt Jackson was promoted to Rear Admiral.  In January 2017, RAdm Jackson was retained to continue to serve in The White House as the Physician for President Donald J. Trump.  In January of 2019 President Trump appointed RAdm Jackson as Assistant to the President and to the newly established role of Chief Medical Advisor to the White House and the Executive Office of the President. 

While assigned to the White House on continuous duty, RAdm Jackson was assigned increasing levels of responsibility over the 13 year period including assignment as The White House Physician, Deputy Director White House Medical Unit, Director White House Medical Unit, Physician to the White House, Deputy Assistant to the President, Physician to the President, Assistant to the President, and Chief Medical Advisor.  On December 1, 2019, Rear Admiral Ronny L. Jackson, USN (Ret) (MC), retired after 28 years of active service and was Honorably Discharged from the US Navy.

On December 9, 2019, RAdm Jackson filed to run as a Republican for Congress in the 13th Congressional District of Texas, seeking to succeed the 13 term incumbent Congressman Mac Thornberry who announced that he would not be seeking re-election.  Despite his heavy campaign schedule, RAdm Jackson has made a number of trips to The White House to provide support for the members of President Donald J. Trump’s Coronavirus Task Force.

Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson is a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and is designated as a fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.  He currently holds faculty clinical appointments with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and the Harvard School of Medicine-affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Disaster Medicine Fellowship Program.  RAdm Jackson is a member of the VFW, the American Legion, DAV, and the NRA.
