Sgt Daniel Casara
SgtCasarais a combat veteran of the USArmy. He is running for United StatesHouse of Representativesin the state ofCA.Active Status:Retired
The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is endorsing the 113th Combat Veteran For Congress in 8 years; he is a fiscally conservative candidate who will work to rein in the out of control spending by irresponsible members of Congress, reduce taxes, reduce the national debt, rebuild the strength of the US military, support the freedom & independence of the individual, protect & support the 2nd Amendment, secure the borders, defeat ISIS & Al Q’ieda, repeal & replace Obama Care, and will work toward unleashing the private sector to create jobs, and stimulate private sector business investment once again. Sgt Daniel A. Casara, USA (Ret) (Wounded Warrior) of San Diego, California who served his country proudly in the US Army for 15 years until he was medically retired as a Wounded Warrior, is running in the 52nd Congressional District of California, for the seat of 3 term Congressman Scott Peters (D-CA-52).
Cong Peters has voted along Democratic Party lines with Nancy Pelosi 98% of the time, and has contributed to the irresponsible out of control spending by the Obama administration. The incumbent voted against repealing the flawed Obamacare Law. Cong Peters has consistently opposed the construction of a Border Wall to keep the massive flood of drugs, Illegal aliens, and Radical Islamic Terrorists from entering the US through the wide open southern border. He strongly supported the Obama & Clinton “Benghazi Cover Up,” and supports the issuance of drivers licenses to Illegal Aliens which they use to illegally register to vote.
In an example of his irresponsible approach to National Security, Cong Peters voted for the very dangerous International Iranian Nuclear Weapons Agreement, despite being implored by his constituents to oppose the dangerous Congressional bill that gave the Iran, the largest state sponsor of terrorism, $150 billion in cash to fund its worldwide terrorist activities, and is allowing Iran to develop Nuclear Weapons and intercontinental ballistic missiles that can strike the US.
Daniel Casara was born on June 15, 1974 in Chicago, Illinois. Daniel’s grandfather, father, and uncle all served in the US Army, and early on in his youth Dan decided to follow in their footsteps; his father set a great example for him to respect his country. Since age 2, Daniel played the drums, and spent his youth in Matteson, Illinois. During his years matriculating at Rich South High School in Richton Park, Illinois, Daniel played varsity baseball, and graduated in June 1992. Sgt Casara is currently completing his second semester pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice at San Diego Community College, and will transfer to San Diego State University in the spring of 2018.

On September 23, 2005, Sgt Casara’s fully tracked M113 armed personnel carrier rolled over an anti-tank mine that set off an explosion. The explosion flipped his vehicle over, killing two and injuring four. Sgt. Casara suffered bilateral fractures to his right tibia and fibula, a shattered left tibia, shattered heel and ankle bones to both feet, and a dislocated right hip. Sgt Casara was flown to Landstul, Germany, and was hospitalized for about one week.
On September 30, 2005, Sgt Casara was transferred to Brooke Army Medical Center, at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX where he went through multiple surgeries and countless hours of physical therapy. Sgt Casara left Brooke Army Medical Center on January 31, 2006, and went to Illinois to be near his family where he underwent more surgeries in 2006 and 2007 and physical therapy at two different medical facilities in Illinois using TriCare.
While still in the US Army and convalescing from his injuries, Sgt Casara used sports and recreational activities to support his rehabilitation. He cycled, played baseball, softball, snowboarded, and golfed. Over the past several years, nearly 70 Wounded Warriors, including Sgt Casara, have mountain biked with President George W. Bush in Texas. Sgt Casara was Honorably Discharged from his unit and Active Duty in September 2008. He continued to go through more surgeries and rehabilitation through 2011. Sgt Casara has had to undergo 24 surgeries, and countless hours of physical therapy to just learn how to walk again.
In 2012, Sgt Casara started treatment and rehabilitation at the Balboa National Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA, and completed Medical Board Examinations through April 2013, when he was medically retired. For his 15 years of Honorable service in the US Army, including service in combat, Sgt Casara was awarded medals for valor and merit including the Purple Heart Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Presidential Unit Citation, the Combat Action Badge, and various Service and Campaign Medals.
Following his medical retirement from the US Army in May 2013, he continued engaging in sports activities to strengthen his legs. Sgt Casara is a member of The Military Order of the Purple Heart, the American Legion, the VFW, the NRA, the AMVETS, and the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation. Daniel and his wife Barbara of 8 years, and his son Denali are members of the Rock Church in San Diego, CA. Sgt Casara is a huge advocate for the veteran community, and for their families, nationally.

The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is pleased to endorse Sgt Daniel A. Casara, USA (Ret) (Wounded Warrior) who will bring to Congress private sector skills and wisdom to better solve problems in government and represent the 52nd Congressional District of California and the Republic. If you review Sgt Casara’s positions on his Web site, you would be pleased with his stands; they agree with the Combat Veterans For Congress Mission Statement. We look forward to working with Sgt Casara, and are pleased that a Combat Veteran of his caliber is running for Congress.
If you have friends, associates, or relatives who know voters in the 52nd Congressional District of California, kindly pass this E-mail on to them, and ask them to support Sgt Daniel A. Casara by working in his campaign, providing financial support for his campaign in any amount, and/or by networking with others who would be willing to support his campaign. The military is one of the few remaining institutions producing the caliber of men and women needed to restore this nation to the greatness our Founding Fathers envisioned. We have endorsed another Combat Veteran For Congress that General George Washington would have approved of. He is a Veteran who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States of America” for an amount “up to and including his life.”
