The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is endorsing the 78th Combat Veteran For Congress; he is a fiscally conservative candidate who will work to rein in the out of control spending by Congress and the Obama Administration; he is a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment, an very strong advocate for the military personnel serving in the US Armed forces, believes in “Peace thru Strength”,  and will work tirelessly to rein in the out of control and irresponsible spending by the Obama Administration.  Major Chris Fields, USMC (Ret) (R-MN-5) http://chrisfieldsforcongress.com/ of Minneapolis, Minnesota completed 21 years of honorable service in the US Marine Corps (10 of which were served overseas) is running for the Congressional seat in the 5th Congressional District of Minnesota.  He is running against Congressman Keith Ellison, a three term Democrat incumbent who is vehemently anti-American, voted to cut funding for the US military personnel in combat, attacked the Pledge Allegiance of the Flag, teamed with Barney Frank to undermine the free market, argued against inserting “God” in the official Democrat platform, and has been a Pelosi clone supporting the irresponsible out of control spending in Congress.   Most recently in a debate with Maj Fields, instead of engaging in a civil discourse, Congressman Ellison called Maj Fields a “low life scumbag” and a “gutter dweller”, said the GOP was a “bigoted party,” and also referred to Maj Fields as “stupid” and a “liar.”   Chris Fields was born in New York City, New York on August 22, 1967.  Chris graduated from Bronx Regional High School, and was the Valedictorian of his graduating class.  In June 2011, Chris graduated “Magna Cum Laude” from the Park University at the Camp Pendleton Campus with a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in Business Management with an emphasis on Finance.

In August 2003, CW3 Fields deployed from Camp Pendleton, California for Kuwait in support of Iraqi Freedom as an Embarkation Officer with Marine Aircraft Group 39.  Upon his return to Camp Pendleton in Oct 2003 he was assigned as the Combat Cargo Officer in the USS Denver (LPD-9) at the 32nd Street Naval Station, San Diego as the Combat Cargo and deployed in February 2004 again in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; he was promoted to CWO3.  Upon his return CWO3 Fields in Jan 2005 he was reassigned to Camp Pendleton with the 13thMarine Expeditionary Unit Special Operations Capable (I MEF) as the Embarkation Officer; he immediately deployed again in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In April of 2005 CW3 fields was promoted to Captain.   In May of 2005, Capt Fields deployed from Camp Pendleton, CA for Al Assad, Iraq in support of Iraqi Freedom as an Embarkation Officer with Marine Aircraft Group 39, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) (MAG39, 13th MEU SOC); Capt Fields returned to Camp Pendleton in November 2005.  In June 2006, Capt Fields deployed from Camp Pendleton for Al Taqquadam, Iraq in support of Iraqi Freedom as an Embarkation Officer with MAG 39, 13th MEU SOC; Capt Fields returned to Camp Pendleton in January 2007.  In August 2008, Capt Fields was promoted to Major and assigned to 1st Marine Logistics Group, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force as the Group Embarkation Officer where he retired in Aug 2011.  For service with distinction for 21 years of duty in the US Marine Corps, including multiple tours of Combat Duty, Maj Fields was awarded the Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal (Three awards), the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal (Three awards), the Presidential Unit Citation, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Navy/Marine Corps Unit Commendation, the Meritorious Unit commendation, and various service and campaign medals.  While stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA, Maj Fields was Honorably Discharged on August 1, 2012.  Maj Fields has been endorsed by Cong John P. The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is pleased to endorse Maj Chris Fields, USMC (Ret) who will bring to Congress skills and wisdom to better solve problems in government and represent the 5th Congressional District of Minnesota. If you review Maj Field’s positions on his Web site, you would be pleased with his stands; they agree with the Combat Veterans For Congress Mission Statement.  We look forward to working with Maj Field, and are pleased that a Combat Veteran of his caliber is running for Congress.  If you have friends, associates, or relatives who know voters in the 5th Congressional District of Minnesota, kindly pass this E-mail on to them, and ask them to support Maj Field by working in his campaign, providing financial support for his campaign in any amount, and/or by networking with others who would be willing to support his campaign.  The military is one of the few remaining institutions producing the caliber of men and women needed to restore this nation to the greatness our Founding Fathers envisioned.  We have endorsed another Combat Veteran For Congress that General George Washington would have approved of.  He is a Veteran who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States of America” for an amount “up to and including his life.”
