The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is endorsing a candidate that was previously endorsed and elected in the 2010 mid-term election, he is therefore one of the 66 Combat Veterans For Congress who has been endorsed over the last three years.    Congressman Tim Griffin, Maj-USAR (JAG) (R-AR-2) resides in Little Rock, Arkansas and has been working to find realistic methods of cutting federal spending, to rein in the out of control spending by the Administration, to identify and curb irresponsible fiscal practices of the Obama Administration, to pass a balanced budget amendment to the United States’ Constitution, and has worked with his colleagues on the Hill to reinvigorate the US economy. 

Congressman Griffin http://www.timgriffinforcongress.com  has been serving in the US Army Reserve for 16 years and is running for re-election in the 2nd Congressional District of Arkansas.  Congressman Griffin is a fifth generation Arkansan and was born in Charlotte, NC on August 21, 1968; he grew up in Magnolia as the youngest son of a minister and teacher, where he attended public school and graduated from Magnolia High School in Magnolia, Arkansas in June 1986.   Tim went on to graduate cum laude with a BA from Hendrix College in June 1990.   Tim attended graduate school at Oxford University, Pembroke College, Oxford, England where he studied British and European History from 1990 to 1991.  Tim Griffin went on to Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in May 1994.   Tim Griffin received a direct commission as a First Lieutenant in the US Army Reserve, in the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps, on June 15, 1996; on March 20, 2000 he was promoted to Captain.  

Over the course of 13 years in the US Army Reserve, he has risen to the rank of Major.  In September 2005, Captain Griffin was mobilized for active duty   In May 2006, Captain Griffin was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division and deployed to Iraq.  From May through August 2006, he served as a US Army JAG Officer in Mosul, Iraq, as a member of the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team  Brigade Operational Law Team.  Major Griffin was awarded with a Combat Action Badge for combat action in Mosul, Iraq, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with 5 oak leaf clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with 4 oak leaf clusters, the Army Meritorious Unit Commendation and multiple campaign service medals for overseas duty.  Maj Griffin is currently assigned as the Command Judge Advocate for the Southeast Medical Area Readiness Support Group (SE-MARSG) in Nashville, Tennessee.   Cong Griffin is the founder of the Griffin Law Firm. PLLC in Little Rock; he is licensed to practice in both Arkansas and Louisiana.  

From 1997-1999, Tim served as Senior Investigative counsel for the committee responsible for investigating waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government---the Government Reform Committee, US House of Representative.   From 2001-2002, Tim served as Special Assistant US Attorney  to the US Attorney’s Office of the Eastern District of Arkansas.  He served as the Research Director and Deputy Communications Director for the Republican National Committee (RNC) during the 2004 presidential campaign and Deputy Research Director for the RNC during the 2000 presidential campaign.  In 2005, Tim served as Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director, Office of Political Affairs of the White House.  In that capacity, his duties included organizing and coordinating support for the nomination of Judge John G. Roberts, Jr. to be Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court.  

From 2006-2007 he served as the US Attorney for the Eastern district of Arkansas.   Tim served on the board of the Florence Crittenton Home for Unwed Mothers, is active in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas, is a life member of Friends of Central Arkansas Libraries, and is a member of the Pike County Historical Society.  Maj Griffin is a member of the NRA, the VFW, the American Legion, the Reserve Officer’s Association, and the Military Officer’s Association of America.  Tim and his wife, Elizabeth, are members of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Little Rock; Elizabeth and Tim have a 4 ½ year old daughter and 2 year old son.
