Militarys Top Officers Face Review of Their Character by Their Subordinates

  • Militarys Top Officers Face Review of Their Character by Their Subordinates

By having General Martin Dempsey, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff, issue an order to the US Armed Forces that all Flag and General Officers will now be evaluated by the subordinates under their command, Obama is destabilizing of the US military chain of command structure.  That directive violates good order and military leadership principles taught in Leadership Courses to all officer trainees in every Military Academy in every country in the world.  General Dempsey directive is a purely inept politically correct policy order that will destabilize unit cohesion, unit moral, and will destroy the principles of the chain of command structure followed in the US Armed Forces by the US Military Officer Corp.  What is really going on here is that Obama is employing enlisted personnel in the US Armed Forces to submit written evaluations on Flag and General Officers, in order to make sure they toe the line in support of Obama’s radical Social Experiment on Diversity.  The same type of reporting by enlisted personnel has been going on for 4 years of unit commanding officers; enlisted personnel have been encouraged for 4 years, to use an (800) telephone hot line set up for them, to put the commanding officers of their units on report for various reasons; it has resulted in the removal of hundreds of Commanding Officers (COs) for various infractions, many of whom have not agreed with Obama’s Social Experiment on Diversity (they have been removed for matters of supporting the religious conscious of chaplains, issues affecting the repeal of “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell”, female/male sexual harassment complaints against their COs, gross failures in command at sea by unqualified female COs, attempts to  rescue Navy SEALs being attacked by Al Q’ieda terrorists in Benghazi, etc.).  The inept order encouraging subordinates to put Flag and General Officers on report is similar to how enlisted members in the Wehrmacht during WWII were encouraged to put Germany’s Flag and General Officers on report for not following the party line on Nazi philosophy.  By clicking on the below listed link, you can read how the news is being managed to mislead the American people on the true source of where this inept and destructive order came from, and how it will be reported nationally by the left of center liberal media establishment, to provide the resident of the Oval Office with cover for another of his anti-military policies that are destabilizing the US Armed Forces, in this latest case, in destroying the military chain of command structure that has worked so very effectively for 238 years.

Military’s Top Officers Face Review of Their Character By Their Subordinates

BY THOM SHANKER  NEW YORK TIMES, APRIL 14, 2013

The American military for the first time will require generals and admirals to be evaluated by the people they command on qualities including character.

The below listed written article by Dave Jolly summarizes a long list of premeditated actions taken by Obama over the last 4 years that are unilaterally disarming the US military establishment; Jolly explains in detail how Obama is gutting the Combat Effectiveness of the finest military establishment in history.  The external enemies of the Republic that the US military establishment faced in combat couldn’t defeat the US Armed Forces on the battlefield, but now the American people are witnessing the Republic’s domestic enemies systematically gutting the US Armed Forces from within.

New Defense Secretary Hagel to Finish Obama’s Gutting of US MilitaryPosted on April 5, 2013 by Dave Jolly Filed under Government SpendingMilitaryNational SecurityWar

President Barack Obama has spent the past couple of years gutting and weakening our military.  He pushed to allow gays to openly serve which caused some military personnel who held on to their Christian values to resign.  Then Obama pushed his gay rights initiative onto military chaplains, forcing them to perform same-sex unions and marriages, even though it was against their religion.  Failure to do so could result in strong disciplinary action up to being court martialed.  Obama is now pushing to extend benefits to the unwed gaypartners of military personnel but not to the unwed opposite sex partners of military personnel.

Obama then attacked the retirement program for the military making it less desirable for people to give the country twenty or more years of their lives.  Instead of being able to retire after twenty years and draw one’s pension at the age of 38 and older, Obama is pushing to make a change so they cannot draw their military retirement until 67 years of age.  A number of people coming out of the military after 20 years rely on that well-earned and deserved pension for repeatedly putting their lives on the line, in order to help them survive while having a hard time finding appropriate civilian employment, but that doesn’t matter to Obama.

Troop and weaponry reduction was next on Obama’s list.  Through his edict, former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta began reducing the number of active military personnel in all branches of the service.  Ships, planes and other equipment have also been reduced in numbers.

Obama has also been weeding out those top military leaders that refuse to say that they would shoot fellow Americans if ordered to do so.  They are being turned down for promotions or being moved to other non-essential positions, both of which are career killers in the military.

With North Korea posturing for a nuclear strike, one has to be concerned over the fact that Obama has reduced the number of nuclear weapons and is pushing for further reductions.  In 2010, the US nuclear arsenal numbered nearly 2,500.  Since that time, Obama has reduced it to 1,700 and has been pushing for a furtherreduction to take the numbers to 1,000.  That’s a 60% reduction in just a few years.

Supposedly due to military budget cuts and the sequester Obama ordered in August 2011, the Navy hasdelayed indefinitely the refueling and reconditioning of two air craft carriers.  The last I heard, there were 5 aircraft carriers docked in the US.

Also as a result of the sequester that Obama created and signed into law there was a cutting of tuition assistance to active military personnel; the Congress is actively trying to restore that tuition assistance.  Tuition assistance has been a large draw to get young men and women to enlist, but with doubts about its continuance, those enlistment figures are sure to drop.

Military pay is not the greatest.  Many families of enlisted personnel have to have the spouse work, food stamps, or request government assistance in order to survive.  According to a current military pay grade chart, a new enlistee makes a whopping $1,516.43 a month.  After graduating from basic training, serving one year and moving up a pay grade, that jumps up to a staggering $1,699.63 a month or $20,395.56.  A sergeant with 2 years of service has a base pay of only $2,081.22 a month or $24,974.64 a year.

According to the HHS, the poverty level for a family of 3 is $19,090 a year and a family of 4 is $23,050.  Active duty military personnel make just enough to keep them barely above the official federal poverty level, but that may be changing if newly appointed Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel gets his way, and with new taxes hitting the low income personnel being imposed on payroll, gas at the pump, prescription drugs, charge for health care benefits, utilities, and universal gun registration.

Speaking at the National Defense University on the sequestration and budget cuts, Hagel said:

“[Fiscal realities demand another hard look at personnel – how many people we have both military and civilian, how many we need, what these people do, and how we compensate them for their work, service, and loyalty with pay, benefits and health care.”

Some in attendance took Hagel’s words to indicate that he is considering possible pay cuts and reductions in benefits for military personnel and civilian contractors.  For many young people today, the low military pay sometimes prevents them from enlisting because they know they and their family can’t survive on such a low annual income.  Such a move on the part of Hagel would further erode our already weakened military.

America once took pride in our military power.  It was the might of our troops and weapons that kept us safe from attack from other nations, but not terrorists.  But our might is being intentionally weakened and our military is no longer as formidable as it once was; we owe much of that Barack Obama and his puppets that have been, and are currently serving as the Secretaryies of Defense.
