The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is endorsing the 80th Combat Veteran For Congress; he is a fiscally conservative candidate who will work to reduce the national debt, and will focus on reining in the out of control spending by the Congress and the Obama Administration.  He will work toward unleashing the private sector to grow once again, create jobs, and stimulate private sector business investment.  Lt Col Sean Seibert, USAR (R-TX-18) http://www.seanseibert.com resides in Houston, TX and is a 29 year veteran of the US Army and US Army Reserve.  Lt Col Seibert won the Republican Primary in the 18th Congressional District of Texas and is running for the seat held by 9 term (18 years) Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee (D-TX-18).  Sean Siebert was born in Ottawa, Illinois on December 13, 1963.  In his youth, Sean was raised in Park Forest, Illinois until age 9, then his parents moved to Bedford Texas.  Sean is the eldest son of an immigrant mother who became a US Citizen in 1967; his mother encouraged and instilled the courage in him to be the first in the family to attend college.  Sean graduated from Trinity High School in Euless, Texas in June 1982, and joined the US Army Reserves May 1983 while attending Junior College for several years.  In January 1985 Sean Seibert entered the University of Texas at Arlington Texas; he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) in Criminal Justice in December 1988.   Lt Col Seibert graduated from US Army Command and General Staff Officer Course at Fort Leavenworth, KS in June 2004.   In June 2006, Sean Seibert graduated with a Master in Arts (MA) in Organization Management from the University of Phoenix, Dallas, Texas campus. 

On May 5, 1983 Sean Seibert was sworn into the US Army Reserves as a Military Police (MP) Private at the Military Enlistment Processing Center in Dallas, Texas.  On May 26, 1983 PVT Seibert reported for basic training at Fort McClellan, Alabama as the first part of split indoctrination training; on June 1, 1984 he returned to Fort McClellan for Advanced Individual Training.  In August 1986, SFC Seibert entered the ROTC program at the University of Texas, in Arlington, TX, but remained an enlisted MP until May 22, 1987.  On May23, 1987 SFC Seibert was commissioned as a 2nd Lt in the US Amy Reserves and his  reserve assignment was Platoon Leader in the 302nd Military Police Company in Fort Worth, Texas; he subsequently moved up to Detachment Commander in February 1989 and promoted to First Lieutenant on May 26, 1990.  In January 1991 he deployed in support of Operation Desert Storm from Fort McCoy, WI as a platoon leader with the 822nd Military Police Company to the Al Khobar Towers, Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; he was assigned as Officer in Charge (OIC) of Base Cluster, Al Khobar, OIC Customs, Detachment CO in Jubail, and OIC Customs Port operations Dammam & Jubail.  1st Lt Seibert returned Fort McCoy, WI in September 1991.  For service in combat, 1st Lt Seibert was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Kuwait Liberation Medal, and various service and campaign medals.  From September 1991 to thru May 1994 1st Lt Seibert was assigned in various billets with the 822nd and 302nd Military Police Companies, and the 607th Military Police Battalion; he was promoted to Captain on May 25, 1994.  CPT Seibert remained assigned to the 607th until June of 1996, when he deployed from Fort Benning, Georgia in support of Operation Joint Endeavor for Manheim, Germany as Operations Officer of the 607th Military Police Battalion.  Capt Seibert subsequently was assigned as Deputy Provost Marshal, US Army Europe (Forward), Tazar, Hungary.  He returned to Fort Benning with the 607th in January 1997.  For service in support of Operation Joint Endeavor CPT Seibert was awarded the Army Commendation Medal and various service and campaign medals.

From January 1997 to October 2001, CPT Seibert was assigned as Operations Officer with 607th, and was given Command of the 302nd Military Police Company.  On October 15, 2001 CPT Seibert was promoted to Major. From October 2001 to July 2004 MAJ Seibert was  assigned as Provost Marshal, Corps of Engineers in Dallas, Provost Marshal the 4003rd GSU at Fort Hood in Texas, and Provost Marshal the 75th Division in Houston.  From July 2004 to December 2007, MAJ Seibert went on active duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as G2 for the 5th Army at Fort Hood, Texas, as Provost Marshal and various assignments for the 75th Division in Houston, Texas.  On December 21, 2007, MAJ Seibert was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel; he remained assigned to the 75th Division until May 2009.  For support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, MAJ Seibert was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal (1st Oak Leaf), Army Commendation Medal, the Superior Unit Award (2nd Oak Leaf Cluster) and various service and campaign medals.  In May 2009 LTC Seibert deployed from fort Benning, Georgia in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with the 82nd Airborne Division as a Security Force Planner to Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan; he was the lead planner for the Afghan National Police.   LTC Seibert was subsequently assigned to Torkham, Afghanistan as Torkham Gate OIC, the strategic border crossing where in the Khyber Pass where 80% of all NATO resources and supplies enter Afghanistan from Pakistan.  In this role LTC Seibert increased revenue by $203 million while improving commercial throughput from 17,000 to 22,000 per month. While leading the NATO effort on the border he facilitated regular discussions between the Afghan and Pakistani government officials.  LTC Seibert returned to Fort Benning, GA in July 2010.  For his service in a combat environment, LTC Seibert was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Commendation Medal, the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the NATO Medal, the Combat Action Badge is pending, and was awarded various service and campaign medals. LTC Seibert has been selected as the Commanding Officer of the 393rd Military Police Battalion in Bell, California, and has also been awarded the following additional medal, the Army Commendation Medal (4th Oak Leaf), the Army Achievement Medal (5th Oak Leaf), the Army Reserve Commendation Medal (4th Oak Leaf). 

In June 1994 Sean Seibert graduated from Tarrant County Junior College, in Tarrant County Texas and received a Basic Peace Officer’s Certificate; he was employed by the Irving Police Department as a patrolman on December 1994; he remained on the Arlington Police Force until January 2005.  From February 2005, Sean was employed as an International Marketing Representative by SEKA International in Chicago and Milwaukee; he went back on pre-active duty training on March 2009 and active duty for 2 years on May 2009.  Lt Col Seibert has been endorsed by Republican Party of Texas, by Congressman Ted Poe (R-TX-2), Klein ISD School Board Member Steven Smith, the Combat Veterans For Congress PAC, and Brain Cwrene.  Sean is a member of the Reserve Officers Association, a life member of the VFW, a life member of the Military Police Association, the NRA, the American Legion, the University of Texas ROTC Alumni Association, the Downtown Pachyderm Club, and the Northwest Forest Republican Women’s Club.   Lt Col Seibert is divorced, has no children, and is a member of the Methodist faith.
